Lifeblood Ride to Recovery
🚐Supporting Transport for Patients
For patients who require daily hospital visits, whether for radiotherapy, chemotherapy or follow-up check-ups, these transport expenses quickly add up.
Patients undergoing radiotherapy are required to attend treatment sessions continuously and without long breaks, as prescribed by their oncologist. The treatment is typically administered over several consecutive weeks, often five days a week. As such, the frequent travel to and from the hospital can become a significant financial burden.
Many of our patients cannot use public transport because of their health or mobility challenges, and private rides are often costly.
For them, even travelling to the hospital safely has become a constant strain.
Some rely on family members or volunteers for help, while others delay or even miss their appointments simply because getting there has become too difficult.
What may seem like a short trip for most of us can be tiring and expensive for someone who depends on regular medical treatment.
Reliable transport gives them peace of mind, knowing they can continue their treatments, focus on recovery and not worry about how to get there.
💫Our Mission
The Lifeblood Ride to Recovery campaign aims to provide reliable and comfortable ferry services for our ill and mobility-challenged beneficiaries.
With your support, our Centre can continue ensuring that no patient misses their vital medical appointments because of transport difficulties.
As we continue to grow, we also hope to explore more customised transport options for patients who require additional care or special assistance.
💖Your Impact
Your donations help our patients travel safely and comfortably for their regular treatments, complete their medical therapy without disruption, and maintain their health and quality of life.
Each contribution gives them the assurance that they can continue their treatments without fear of missing an appointment or worrying about how to get there.
What may seem like a small act to us means the world to them. It reminds them that they are not alone on their journey to recovery.
With every gift, each ride becomes a little easier, a little safer and filled with hope.
